In preparation for the Assises des mathématiques , the CNRS National Institute for Mathematical Sciences and their Interactions (INSMI) is releasing an update of the study of the economic impact of mathematics in France.
This study is a continuation of the analysis conducted in May 2015 at the request of the Agency for Mathematics in Interaction with Business and Society (AMIES, CNRS & Université Grenoble-Alpes unit), in partnership with the Fondation sciences mathématiques de Paris and the Fondation mathématique Jacques-Hadamard.
It evaluates in particular :
- The place of mathematics in the French economy;
- The role of French research in mathematics in the dynamism and growth of companies;
- The evolution of the needs and offers of mathematical skills since 2015.
